Hackathon

In the beginning, we had decided to create a web application and a mobile application. However, due to time constraints, we decided to scrape the idea of creating a mobile application. Hence, during this Hackathon, we decided to mainly focus on the web application.

During the first day of the hackathon, we had a slow start. Janine and I were tasked to do the HTML and CSS for our web page. As I have not done HTML and CSS for quite a while after the previous semester, I had to refer to past notes and search online when I did not know how to do some of coding that needed to be done for the project.

We decided to use ASP.NET to do the front-end of the web application. Seeing as we were taught using Bootstrap in ASP.NET in the previous semester during the Web Application Development (WEB), I decided to use what I have learnt to code the navigation bar using bootstrap.

After I was done with making the navigation bar using Bootstrap, I realised that we can make a slideshow using Bootstrap as well. Since we would be having a slideshow on the landing page of our web application.

With little sleep and a lot of work to do, tension within the group started to grow. Conflict and displeasure against one another happened as misunderstandings and the lack of communication happened within the group. However, we tried to push the displeasure aside and continued to push through to try and finish our product as best as we can.
