We manage to get the raspberry pi from school today. I discussed with my groupmates further on what IoT feature we could have.
After a while of discussion, we came up with a man counter, as we had a long debate previously on how to keep track of crowd in the medical facility. If we had sensors to detect how many people are there in the medical facility, we would not have the problem of accurately keeping track of crowd in the facility. The best part is, we know that the school has the sensor for it.
While discussing, we also decided to add an NFC reader for Kiosk to allow for login of account through the usage of NFC cards to provide convenience. Although the school does not have a NFC reader, but I know I can send data from my android phone to the raspberry pi via Bluetooth. So we decided to just go ahead and try it.
I feel that allowing the use of NFC in our system also allows the expansion of more features and potential of our project.
Going through the storage place for all the raspberry pi parts in school, we found PIR Motion Sensors that we can use to detect motion, it was perfect for our IoT feature.
