After many weeks of planning and 2 days of sleepless night, we managed to come up with a prototype. Even though the prototype was far from the ideal product, I still felt a sense of achievement. Being able to at least contribute to such a big project. Or at least the project seemed big to me.
To be honest, I was pretty confident about our group’s solution for the challenge. I felt that our solution was something that was able to change the health industry.
Going to SAP, I was excited to show the teachers and the people at SAP what we had been working on for the past few weeks. I was almost certain that we were going to be able to impress everyone with our solution as it was one that seem visible and had gone through legal research.
So, imagine the disappointment we felt when we got 3rd placing for our project. We felt very discouraged after that. The motivation for the project also decreased a lot.
The feedback we got was that the web application’s UX/UI can be improved. Looking at the solution of the first placing and the second runner up, I realised that our group’s solution lacked innovation and creativity.
Even though we were disheartened by this, I know that there is much more that we can learn from this. With these feedbacks, and as long as we do not give up, I believe that we will be able to do better to improve this project.
